A 43-year-old man has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of Darnell Baxter on Newlyn Street, Ocho Rios, St. Ann on Tuesday (October 12).

Charged is Nathaniel McLeod otherwise called ‘big pop’, a barber of Lancewood, Exchange, in St. Ann.

Reports are that about 10:30 a.m., Baxter and McLeod got into a verbal dispute which became physical.

McLeod allegedly used a knife to stab Baxter in the neck.

Baxter was pronounced dead at hospital.

McLeod was arrested the same day and later charged.

His court date is being finalised.
