by October 11th, 2021

“Where is Koffee?” was the question on the lips of many patrons after the 15th annual staging of Best of the Best ended minutes after 10 Sunday.

The Grammy entertainer who was billed for the event celebrating Caribbean culture and heritage was a no show.

However, the organizers of Best of the Best did not disclosed why Koffee was a no show.

Nonetheless, despite Koffee’s non appearance, and a late start of the event, the 2021 staging of Best of the Best saw an excellent turnout.

People from Caribbean descent, lovers of Reggae, Dancehall, and Soca music turned out in their numbers on Sunday inside the Bay Front Park Downtown Miami.

Entering the venue, there was a mask mandate. Also, patrons had to show a negative COVID test or proof that they are fully vaccinated.

However, once inside the venue, many patrons traded their masks for party cups or removed their mask to simple enjoy jerk chicken and other Caribbean delicacies.

Meanwhile, entertaining performances came from the likes of Tanya Stephens, Spice, Ding Dong, Alison Hinds, Bunji Garlin, Problem Child, and Lyrical.

Other notable performances came from Tarrus Riley who worn a t-shirt bearing the image of his late sister to honour her memory, had fans singing along during his set. Lady G and Skinny Fabulous also did well.

All-in-all, Best of the Best 2021 was a success as people from all walks of life turned up in Miami to experience a celebration of our rich Caribbean culture and heritage.

Organizers are already looking towards the 2022 staging that is slated to take place during Memorial weekend in May.
