Beyoncé Highlights Dancehall At Coachella

by April 16th, 2018

Fresh off her recent visit to Jamaica, R&B and HipHop megastar Beyoncé did not leave dancehall and reggae out of her historic performance on the Coachella stage over the weekend.

Beyoncé who made history as the first black female entertainer to headline the Coachella festival, paid homage to Jamaica, dancehall, and reggae during her nearly 2 hours long set.

Beyoncé kicked off her miniature dancehall reggae segment with a sample from Mr.Vegas, before performing her hit single ‘Baby Boy’ which features Jamaica’s very own grammy winning entertainer Sean Paul.

In a segment which featured just a little over 3 minutes worth of Jamaican music, Beyoncé then did a mix up of Vybz Kartel’s Fever with ‘Baby Boy’ before singing her very own rendition of Dawn Penn’s ‘No No No’ before sampling Sister Nancy’s ‘Bam Bam’ to end her very energetic dancehall/reggae segment.
