The highly anticipated launch for Rebel Salute was held on Monday night at the Jamaica Pegasus in Kingston.
For 24 years Rebel Salute has maintained its staple of being a family oriented cultural festival. With next year’s staging marking the 25th anniversary of the festival celebrating wholesome entertainment, organizers are eager to present their ultimate best with the continuation of the Herb Curb and Reggae Camping first introduced last year.
Under the theme “The Preservation of Reggae” some big names were announced for the two day festival.
On Friday January 12 patrons can expect to see the likes of Third World, JC Lodge, Cocoa Tea, Bushman, Jesse Royal, Tony Rebel, Agent Sasco, Bugle, Charly Black, Lutan Fyah, Zamunda, Vershon, Jah Vinci, Glacia Robinson.
While on Saturday January 13 expect high energy performances from Capleton, Barrington Levy, Freddie McGregor, Luciano, Queen Ifrica, Pinchers, Louie Culture, Admiral Tibet, I-Wayne, Gyptian, Romain Virgo, I-Octane, Elephant Man, DingDong and Jahmiel.
The 25th staging of Rebel Salute will take place over the weekend of January 12-13 2018, at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory St. Ann.
