Police in California swooped in on the granddaughter of late reggae legend Bob Marley after a neighbor in a predominantly white neighborhood called 911.

Donisha Prendergast and her black friends were checking out of a home they rented through worldwide accommodations leader, Airbnb.

In a video posted on Donisha’s official Instagram page, she was forced to call the homeowner as the police did not believe they had access to the premise. However, the police was not convinced and demanded that the owner of the property appear in person to verify the identity of Donisha Prendergast.

Donisha Prendergast and her friends were in LA for an event dubbed “We Will Rise Together.”

This attack comes on the heels of a string of racist confrontations in the United States between the police and black people many of which sometimes end fatally.
