The body of a man was found, along the May Day main road, in Manchester, this morning (December 11).

The deceased has not yet been identified.

Police reports are that shortly after 7:00 am, passers-by stumbled upon the body and alerted them.

On their arrival the man was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

The body was removed to the morgue.

Investigations continue.
