Both short and long Term benefits for Jamaica in hosting Gold Cup- Victor Montagliani

The benefits will both be short and long term.

That’s the word of Concacaf president Victor Montagliani as he made the official announcement yesterday that Jamaica is set to become the first Caribbean country to host matches in the Concacaf Gold Cup matches.

The group C matches which will feature Jamaica, Honduras and two other qualifiers will take the form of a double header on June 17 at the national stadium.

Meanwhile former JFF General Secretary and Concacaf Caribbean football director Horace Reid explains what Jamaicans can expect in terms of an operational and organizational stand point in hosting the gold cup matches

The 2019 Gold Cup will be the first to feature an expanded version, with 16 countries vying for continental glory in what is set to be the largest gold cup tournament in history.

In the  meantime  the complete groups and schedule  for  the  2019  Gold  Cup  will be unveiled  next  Wednesday   in Los Angeles.
