Buju Banton announces re-release of ‘Til Shiloh’ album

Grammy-winning Dancehall/Reggae entertainer Buju Banton has announced the re-release of his 1995 iconic album, ‘Til Shiloh.’

On Instagram, Buju shared the news with his over 1.2 million followers that the album is currently available for preorder and will be re-released on December 18.

Buju wrote on IG, “I present to you the ‘Til Shiloh’ 25th-anniversary album with new never heard before songs.” The information posted on Thursday also encouraged fans to preorder to get a new track titled, ‘Come Inna The Dance.’

‘Til Shiloh’ that was released 25-years ago, explored Buju Banton’s Rastafarian faith on tracks like ‘Til I’m Laid to Rest’, and ‘Untold Stories’, along with favourites such as ‘Murderer’, ‘Champion’, and ‘Wanna Be Loved’.

On the album’s 25th anniversary, on July 18 this year, ‘Til Shiloh’ was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

A Gold record is a single or album that has managed to sell 500,000 units.

In relating news, Buju Banton, through his Buju Banton Foundation, has gifted the Sunbeam Children’s Home in St Catherine with laptops for each boy at the facility.

The Gargamel also donated desktop computers and chairs to the Mount Olivet Boys Home in Manchester.

Rapper Kanye West is said to have contributed to the Buju Banton Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of at-risk boys.
