Buju Banton urges Jamaicans to research

by October 1st, 2021

Dancehall entertainer Buju Banton in an Instagram live video posted on Friday (Oct 1), continues to use his platform to plead to the people of Jamaica to do their research about COVID-19 and the vaccine.

Rohan Marley, producer Teflon Zinc Fence, selector Foota Hype, and Kumar Fyah are among the over 13,000 Instagram users who have reacted to Buju’s post.

Buju Banton’s warning comes following reports that some 11 persons died after taking the COVID vaccine.

According to reports, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) is yet to determine the cause of death of two persons who passed away recently after receiving shots of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, nine other deaths have reportedly been classified as coincidental.

Like Buju Banton, Dancehall entertainers Tanya Stephens, and Spragga Benz are among the handful of industry players speaking out against the vaccine.

On Thursday (Sept 30), Spragga Benz shared a post with his over 223,000 Instagram followers, asking, “If fully vaccinated people can get it and spread it, why aren’t they losing their jobs too?”

Using the same social media medium, Tanya Stephens on Friday shared, “Shoutout to my immune system. I know everybody is acting like you don’t exist, but I still believe in you.”
