West Indies T/20 captain……….Carlos Brathwaite……played only a minor role but it helped his team the Khulna Titans…..beat early leaders Sylhet Sixers by six wickets with 12 balls to spare in the Bangladesh T/20 Premier League.
Chasing 136 for victory…..the titans….who were securing their first points of the tournament, handed the Sixers their first defeat in four matches.
Braithwaite who hit 2 sixes in his unbeaten knock of 23 from 16 balls…..shared in an unbroken 5th wicket partnership of 45 to guide his team to victory at 138 for 4.
This after they recovered from 43 for 3 in the 7th over.
Australian Michael klinger top-scored with an unbeaten 47 in a 50-run 4th wicket stand with captain Mahmudullah who made 27.
Earlier, Brathwaite went wicket-less as the Sixers, sent to bat posted 135 for 5 off their 20 overs, with skipper Nasir Hossain top-scoring with an unbeaten 47 from 35 deliveries.
West Indies batsman, Andre Fletcher, with 147 runs from his three previous innings, failed for the first time after making just 4.
Barbadian all-rounder, Jofra archer grabbed 2 for 25.
