Cayman Airways is investigating how a passenger who tested positive for Covid-19 in Jamaica, was allowed to board a flight to Grand Cayman on Thursday (September 9).

Chief Executive Officer of Cayman Airways Fabian Whorms says the probe will seek to determine how the protocol was breached.

The Cayman government says the passenger and her companion are in quarantine.

Meantime, Cayman’s Minister of Tourism and Transport, Kenneth Bryan says additional measures are in place to prevent a reoccurrence.

He was speaking during a virtual press briefing last evening (September 10).
