Dancehall deejay and author, Cecile is excited about the release of her first published children’s book titled, ‘My Hair Story.’

The book, inspired by her daughter, who had many questions about her hair, is currently available online for preorder on Amazon, and Barnes and Noble and in Jamaica at the Kingston Book Shop and will be available everywhere on March 12.

Cecile, who has now penned her second book, shared the exciting news with a video message via social media to her over 383,000 followers on Instagram. In her caption, she spoke about self-love, acceptance of self and others, and being tolerant of others who may not look like us.

‘My Hair Story’ is Cecile’s second book but the first to be published. In 2018, she wrote her first children’s book titled ‘Oceana Adventures of a Jamaican Mermaid’, which is about a Jamaican girl called Oceana who loves reggae music and is from the waters in St Thomas.

Oceana was also inspired by her daughter.
