by March 19th, 2021

Cedella Marley, the daughter of the late Reggae legend Bob Marley, is standing in solidarity with the Asian American community, following a deadly attack this week, which claimed the lives of eight people in Atlanta, Georgia.

Via social media, the philanthropist has lent her voice in support of the hashtag Stop Asian Hate to help raise awareness about the attack on the Asian community.

Cedella shared the post with her over 331 thousand followers on Instagram, which she captioned, “The senseless violence must stop. Human is human. These lives are not yours to take. We stand with our Asian community, neighbours, leaders, and friends. #StopAsianHate (black heart emoji).”

Meanwhile, social media users are encouraged to create or share content to explain the situation and help raise awareness.

All this comes after eight people were killed at three Atlanta-area massage parlours in an attack that has sent terror through the Asian American community.

On Wednesday, a 21-year-old white male, was charged with the killings.
