Chairman of the General Legal Council (GLC), Denise Kitson, has filed a complaint against attorney-at-law Isat Buchanan, relating to offensive comments he made about Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Paula Llewellyn, and Justice Minister Delroy Chuck.

Kitson sent the complaint to the disciplinary committee of the GLC, yesterday (August 2).

She is contending that the profane language used by Buchanan, as well as his conduct, breached the canons of the legal profession.

She wants the committee to decide whether disciplinary proceedings should be started against Buchanan.

Buchanan’s comments on a recent Youtube programme resulted in public outrage and led to him issuing an apology.
