Chris Binnie will lead Jamaican contingent to World Men’s Team Squash Championships in France

Top Jamaican and Caribbean number one squash player Chris Binnie will lead the Jamaican contingent to the World Men’s Team Squash Championships later this month.

The tournament is scheduled for November 27 to December 3 in Marseilles, France.

Binnie warmed up for the tournament in France last weekend when he won the Meadow-Mill Athletic Club Tournament title in the United States.

The eight-time Caribbean champion who entered as favourites, dismissed Omar Sohby of the us, 11-3, 11-7, 11-5 in the first round and then was up 11-3, 11-5 against Anthony Graham of England when the Englishman retired due to injury in his next game.

In the semi-finals the Jamaican dispatched Roberto Pezzota 11-8, 11-8, 11-6, before knocking off Syed Bukhari of Pakistan, 11-6, 11-7, 13-11 to take the third PSA title of his career.
