Chris Gayle slams big half century in Kings Eleven Punjab’s 14 run win over Rajastan Royals

by March 25th, 2019

Explosive Jamaica opener Chris Gayle slammed a big half century and helped kings eleven Punjab to a 14 run win over Rajastan Royals in the Indian Premier League today.

Gayle slammed 79 as kings eleven posted 184 for 4 in their 20 overs.

Gayle’s knock included eight fours and 4 sixes.

Rajastan were then restricted to 170 for 9 in their 20 overs

The game was highlighted by Ravi Ashwin who executed a mankad to get rid of Jos Butler.

Ashwin was about to bowl the penultimate ball of his spell and Butler was at the non-striker’s end, backing up.

The off-spinner saw it, turned around and calmly broke the stumps. The event sparked visibly heated exchanges between the two players, and prompted outrage, but it was, technically, within the laws of the game.
