Chris Paul to miss 4 weeks with knee injury

by October 20th, 2017

The Houston Rockets will be without the services of veteran point guard Chris Paul for up to a month as he continues to battle a bruised left knee.

Paul, who was acquired in a trade with the LA Clippers in June, was originally injured when he banged knees with Mario Chalmers of the Memphis Grizzlies during a preseason game.

The nine-time All-Star was limited to just 33 minutes in Tuesday’s season opener against defending champions Golden State Warriors and also missed Wednesday’s clash in Sacramento.

He has been ruled out of Saturday’s home opener against Dallas and will continue to be listed as day to day by the Rockets.

His place in the starting five has been taken by Eric Gordon, the NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year, who scored 25 points in the 105-100 win over the Kings on Wednesday.
