Close to 200 persons were inoculated yesterday (October 6), during a special vaccination effort targeting the transport sector.

The initiative which is a collaboration between the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, TODSS and the British Caribbean Insurance Company, BCIC saw some 195 transport operators and their families receiving the Covid-19 vaccine in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew.

The initiative dubbed ” One Shot and Ready, Two and Drive” is the first of 11 to be held islandwide.

President of TODSS, Egeton Newman says yesterday’s turn out was good.

He says another initiative will be held at the same location next Friday (October 15).
