Comedian Ity Ellis to raise funds for Boys Home

by December 6th, 2019

Popular comedian Ian ‘Ity’ Ellis, of the comedic duo, Ity, and Fancy Cat, has set his sights on contributing to the development and motivation of Jamaica’s young men, by embarking on his first philanthropic endeavor, an inaugural charity concert, with hopes of raising funds for a Boys Home.

‘Charity and Cheer’ by Ity, is expected to be a fundraising affair, a gift from the comedian, on his birthday today Friday, December 6, geared at raising funds in aid of the Clifton Boys Home located in Darliston, Westmoreland. The Clifton Boys Home, a non-profit facility that houses boys who are victims of abuse and abandonment, was destroyed by fire in 2017 and is yet to fully recover.

Through comedy, laughter, and music, Ity hopes to not only spread cheer, but to be able to provide a means for the boys home, to fully restore its building, furniture, and appliances, in order to provide the functional housing, security, and care, needed by the 28 young men, currently under the care of the home.
