A policeman was killed in a crash along the Spanish Town bypass in St. Catherine this morning (Jan 13).

Dead is Constable Shadale Goldburne. He was a member of the JCF for just over a year.

The JCF says constable Goldburne was attached to the Kingston Central Division, but was performing duties in the St. Catherine north division, at the time of his death.

Reports are that Goldburne was killed when the Suzuki swift motor car he was driving along the Spanish Town bypass crashed in the vicinity of the intersection with St. John’s road about 2: 30 this morning.

The motor car reportedly collided into a tree before landing in a ditch beside the roadway.

Meantime, the JCF Chaplaincy Unit has made contact with the family and colleagues of Constable Goldberger and will be providing assistance.

The police high command has extended condolences to constable Godlburne’s loved ones and the wider JCF family.

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson is urging all members to avail themselves of the services available through the chaplaincy unit and the medical services branch wherever needed.
