The Elletson Road Police yesterday (September 25, 2015) arrested and charged a correctional officer for breaches of The Dangerous Drug Act.

Charged is 45-year-old Staff Officer, Gary Senior of Chelsea Avenue in St. Catherine.

Reports are that about 6:25 p.m., Senior reported for duty at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre when he was seen with two bags.

During a routine search, one of the bags was found to contain four parcels of ganja.

The police were summoned and senior was arrested and charged for Illegal Possession of Ganja.

He is scheduled to appear in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, September 29.
