COVID-19 containment measures to be lifted tomorrow

Effective tomorrow, the orders and COVID-19 containment measures, under the disaster risk management act (DRMA) will be withdrawn.

 

However, some of the existing COVID-19 prevention measures will remain in effect, under the public health act.

 

The announcement was made today by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, in his presentation to parliament.

 

 

He pointed out that COVID-19 remains a threat.

 

As such, citizens are being encouraged to continue following some of the protocols, including the wearing of masks, until April 15.

 

 

The requirement for travellers to pre-test will also continue, until April 15.

 

 

Upon expiration of the curfew tomorrow, entertainment events will be allowed.
