There are now 59 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Jamaica.

The new addition is a 43-year-old male from Portland, who is under investigation.

This case brings to 7 the number of persons under investigation while 30 are imported cases and 22 are import-related.

The health ministry said so far, 32 males and 27 females have tested positive.

The cases range in age from twelve to eighty-seven years.  The average age is 50 years.

The ministry said 8 patients have fully recovered while 3 have died.

There are currently 38 persons in quarantine in a government facility.

And, 62 are in isolation.
