“COVID is not the only thing affecting Jamaicans” – Delomar of RDX vents on IG

Delomar, of Dancehall duo RDX is calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to consider the less fortunate when making his decisions.

On Thursday, during a social media rant, Delomar used the online platform to vent his frustration with the Jamaican government. In a passionate plea, the Dancehall deejay said, “COVID is not the only thing affecting Jamaicans, as people are suffering.”

In a video shared with his over 14 thousand followers on Instagram, the entertainer reminded the Prime Minister of his duty to protect the people.

Delomar also commented on the recent viral videos across social media platforms that show civilians squaring off with police officers.

COVID-19 has dimmed the lights on the entertainment industry since the pandemic hit a year ago. Many Reggae and Dancehall entertainers have not been able to earn since the plug was pulled on tours and live stage show events around the world.

Currently, under the new COVID restrictions implemented by the Jamaican government, the entertainment industry is at a standstill, meanwhile, gatherings are limited to 10 persons, and the 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew daily is in effect until March 22.
