A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Waterford, St. Catherine.

It follows the deaths of two people and the wounding of another at a birthday party in the community on Sunday evening (May 28).

The curfew began at 6 last evening and will remain in effect until 6 pm tomorrow.

The boundaries cover, Caymanas Drive, Dyke Road, the train line, and Passagefort Drive.

During the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless authorized in writing by the Ground Commander.
