CXC seeking to release exam results by mid-October

by September 10th, 2021

The Caribbean Examinations Council has sought to assure that efforts are being made to have the results of the June / July examinations released by mid-October.

In a statement, CXC pointed out that it had to modify its strategy for examinations, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

CXC said it is working assiduously to minimize the impact of the delays, occasioned by the disruption of COVID 19 protocols on the logistical operations, associated with the marking, grading and release of examination results.

It said the release of results will be a three-tiered approach; firstly, the release to the Ministries of Education; secondly, a joint meeting with the ministries of education; and thirdly, the release to candidates on or before October 15.

An exception applies for volcano hit St Vincent and the Grenadines, which will see the release of results to candidates on or before October 20.

CXC said regional and international higher education institutions have been alerted to the situation, in order to minimize the possibility of students being disadvantaged, during the matriculation process.
