“London is becoming America,” says singer Dalton Harris after he was allegedly reprimanded by police.

Harris who is the winner of the 2018 UK X Factor competition, in a Tweet Friday, claims he was racially profiled by London police.

On Twitter, he wrote, “So cops just reprimanded me because I was wearing a hoody and is black so they thought I was intending on robbing parked cars in the parking lot of a supermarket in my market run. #LondonIsBecomingAmerica? Tell me what part of this is ok? This just happened.”

One Twitter user responded, “London was America before America was America.” While another user urged him to be careful.

Dalton Harris is currently promoting his single ‘Cry.’
