Former Member of Parliament Damion Crawford and Attorney Donna Scott Mottley were sworn in as Opposition Senators this morning (Oct 20).
Mrs. Scott Mottley will also assume the role of leader of Opposition business in the Senate.
The two will be replacing Dr. Angela Brown Burke and Mark Golding, who are candidates in the upcoming by-elections.
Mrs. Scott-Mottley, a criminal lawyer, was first sworn in as a government senator in 1989 during the PNP led-administration.
While, Mr. Crawford served one term in the house of representatives from 2011 to 2016 for the constituency of East Rural St. Andrew.
He was also a Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment in the last PNP government.
