by February 12th, 2019

The in-form Deandra Dottin has made significant all-round gains on the latest release of MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20 International rankings.

It comes after a string of standout performances to lead the Windies to a 2-1 win in the recently concluded three-match T20 series against Pakistan in the UAE. Dottin, named Player of the Series, was the leading run-getter with 158 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 139.82 in addition to taking three wickets at an economy rate of 6.36.

The 27 year old Barbadian has now moved up one spot to overtake Windies teammate and captain Stafanie Taylor to take the number one spot among all-rounders with a career-high rating of 424 points.

Her scores of 90, 22 and 46 also helped her gain two spots to number 3 among batters while 8 wickets in the series has lifted her to 26th position among bowlers.

Afy Fletcher, up four spots, is the highest placed West Indian bowler at joint 20th followed by Shamilia Connell (25), the still recovering Hayley Mathews (26) and Anisa Mohammed (30).

Top spot among bowlers is held by Megan Schutt of Australia ahead of India’s Poonam Yadav and England’s Sophie Ecclestone.

Among batters Taylor at number 5 is the other West Indian inside the top 10 while Suzie Bates of New Zealand retains the no.1 spot.
