Deandra Dottin up to 2nd on ICC T20I Batting Rankings

West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin has moved up a spot to second on the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings.

Dottin, on the latest release, occupies the number two spot on 727 points – 38 behind Suzie Bates of New Zealand and is followed by Indian opener Smriti Mandhana at no.3.

The rest of the top-five remained unchanged, with Australia captain Meg Lanning retaining the fourth position with 695 points, followed by Windies skipper Stafanie Taylor, who trails by a point. Hayley Mathews is the next highest regional batter on the list at no.19.

On the rankings for T20 all-rounders Dottin continues to lead the way at no.1 with Taylor second and South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk third.

Mathews at no.6 is also inside the top 10.

The rankings for T20I bowlers is headed by Australia’s Megan Schutt. Afy Fletcher is the highest ranked West Indian at joint 21st.
