The Jamaica Labour Party has given Dennis Meadows the green light to contest the Northern Trelawny seat for the next General Elections.

Mr Meadows, a former senator, had unsuccessfully contested the seat for the JLP on two occasions.

Mr Meadows had retreated from the political limelight, focusing his energy on the lobby group Citizens Action for Principle and Integrity (CAPI) speaking on national issues.

Mr Meadows states that he is ready to play a part in moving Jamaica from its impoverished state, to one of prosperity.
