The District Constable who was shot and killed in Hatfield Manchester last night (December 3) has been identified.

Dead is 53 year old Dwight Gregory, of Mike Town in the parish.

The alleged attacker who was also shot and killed during the incident, has also been identified.

Dead is 50 year old Eric Miller, of somerset, in the parish.

Reports are that at about 10 pm, Gregory was outside a sports bar when he was allegedly pounced upon by Miller.

A tussle ensued and several explosions were heard.

Both Gregory and Miller were later seen suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Two firearms and several rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene.

Investigations continue.
