A preliminary report into Saturday’s power outage which affected several sections of St. Ann is expected to be presented to Energy Minister, Dr. Andrew Wheatley within a few days.

The power outage resulted from a fire at the Cardiff Hall substation, in Runaway Bay.

Dr. Wheatley says he received an update yesterday about the incident, however the update did not outline the actual cause of the fire.

He adds that the Jamaica Public Service is in the process of conducting an investigation into the incident, with a view to provide a preliminary report to his office in short order.
