With uncertainty surrounding the return of face-to-face school come September, Education Minister, Fayval Williams says her ministry continues with efforts to ensure that all students will be able to benefit from online lessons.

Over the past year and a half, the ministry has had difficulty reaching students due to a range of issues including a lack of devices and problems with internet connectivity.

In a bid to address these issues, the ministry has donated thousands of devices to students and has offered grants to others to allow them to purchase their own tablets and computers.

Speaking at a Back-to-School Teachers’ Conference for Region 5, Mrs. Williams noted that efforts to procure devices continue.

She added that the issue of connectivity remains high on the ministry’s agenda.
