Jamaica’s sprint  star   Elaine Thompson is  the  latest  hot  shot  athlete  confirmed  for  the  Malmo  Games  in  Sweden  on  August  18.

The  Rio  double  Olympic  gold  medallist   will run the   100 meters at  the  Malmo  stadium on  her  first  visit   to  Sweden  in  front  of   a   Swedish  audience.

Thompson  joins  a  long  list  of  top  sprinters  who  have  competed  at  the  Malmo  games  over  the  years.

This includes compatriot Merlene  Ottey,  world record holder Florence Griffith-Joyner  and Marion jones who holds the stadium record.
