The Portland police have launched a probe, into the murder of an elderly couple, in the Pleasant Hill community, earlier this afternoon (Jun 22).
Head of Area 2 Assistant Commissioner of Police Norman Heywood says the bodies of a husband and wife were found at their home, about 2: 00 p.m.
Their throats were slashed.
The identity of the couple has not been released.
It’s reported, that the man was a returning resident, who recently came-back from the United Kingdom, while the woman was a British national.
ACP Heywood says investigators are still on the scene.
A motive has not yet been established.
A friend describes the now deceased man as a considerate person.
