An elderly man perished in a fire, at his home, in Mount Carey, St. James, on Friday morning.

He has not yet been identified, but he was believed to be in his eighties.

Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emelio Ebanks told Irie Fm news, that firefighters received a call about the blaze at about 3:33 am.
