An elderly man perished in a house fire in West Kingston early this morning (May 9).

The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old, sanitation worker, Alton Barnett.

Reports are that the incident occurred around 4 am.

It is unclear what caused the blaze in Barnett’s one-bedroom house.
