Entertainers use Cameo App to earn

by November 16th, 2020

In light of COVID-19, more local and international celebrities are using innovative mediums to earn.

With just a click, people can have easy access to their favorite celebrity for a cost, and Dancehall and Reggae entertainers are cashing in by simply making a CAMEO.

More local and international celebrities are now using the Cameo app that was launched in 2017. The platform connects celebrities from the music, sports, and film industries with their fans who’d like to send their friends personalized video messages.

For a cost as low as US$1 to a high of US$2,500, fans can ask their favourite celebs on the CAMEO app to send from Birthday wishes to a breakup message or gender reveal to just about anything.

Shaggy, Jah Cure, Stylo G, Sean Paul, I-Octane, Shenseea, Future Fambo, Chi Ching Ching, Chris Martin, and Farenheit are some of the Dancehall and Reggae entertainers cashing in. For instance, you can hire Jah Cure to sing your partner’s favorite song for a cost of US$550, or you can select a cheaper option to chat for just US$19.99.

For talent big and small, Cameo gives people a way to make money directly from their celebrity, and the service puts fans directly in touch with the artists they appreciate.

To request a Cameo, you’ll need to make an account and visit the Cameo Marketplace through the Cameo website or app, where you can sort the thousands of available celebrities based on category.

On the Cameo App, when the word Dancehall is placed in the search icon, other entertainers such as Ziggy Marley, Jada Kingdom, Collie Buddz, Jesse Royal, Diana King, and Albarosie among others pop up.

Last year, a Cameo video that went viral showed just how versatile the service can be when Sugar Ray lead singer Mark McGrath helped a woman deliver a break-up message to her boyfriend.
