by July 26th, 2021

Speculations of another lockdown continue to swirl across social media platforms after Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced last week that there could be tighter restrictions if the rise in COVID-19 cases continues.

The PM who was expected to make an announcement on Tuesday (July 27), revealed via social media Monday (July 26) that he will address the nation at 6:15 pm this afternoon instead.

According to experts as of last Tuesday, there has been a daily increase of COVID-19 cases with more than one hundred persons becoming infected.

Meanwhile, the organizers of Dream Weekend continue to promote the 2021 staging of its popular party series in Negril after announcing on July 15 that they were given the green light by the government. Dream Weekend, a five-day party series, will run from August 5-9 in Negril, Westmoreland.

The current COVID-19 protocols were to be revised on August 10, but a rapid rise in cases has forced the Prime Minister to intervene.
