Eight people including four children are now homeless after fire engulfed their home in Craighead, Manchester, on Sunday..

The fire reportedly began at around 4am.

Matriarch of the family, Jasmine Daley told Irie Fm news her family has been left without clothes and other basic items.

She said with school resuming today, the fire which destroyed the eight apartment house has left the four children at a great disadvantage.

She is appealing for assistance.
