Finance Ministry signs agreement for public sector compensation review

The Ministry of Finance and consultancy agency Ernst and Young have signed a procurement agreement for a compensation review.

 

The compensation review will look into the possible increase of salaries for public sector workers.

 

Speaking at the signing, Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke said the review will seek to establish a single job evaluation system for compensation.

 

 

When asked to address calls by some members of parliament for a salary increase Dr. Clarke said yesterday’s, parliamentary opposition walk out, did not allow him to respond, however he will try to address the matter in another sitting.

 

He also noted that everyone who is paid by the public purse, will be considered in the review.
