Firefighters are carrying out cooling-down operations after battling a blaze for approximately 3 hours on Chancery Lane off King Street in Downtown Kingston.

It is reported that several buildings were engulfed by flames earlier this afternoon (May 28).

It is still not clear what caused the blaze but it is believed that the buildings include three houses.

According to reports from the York Park fire station, fire fighters received the call about 2:59 p.m. and alerted the Rollington Town fire station.

However, it is reported that due to the magnitude of the fire they had to call for 3 more units.

There is no report of injury.
