Police are reporting that five minors have been taken in for questioning in relation to the death of an elderly man in St. Elizabeth.

63-year-old Delroy Walters, otherwise called Soji of Long Acres, Galleon Beach, St. Elizabeth, reportedly died of injuries he sustained after he was allegedly beaten by five youngsters at his home.

Preliminary reports are that about 3: 55 this morning (February 23), Walter’s brother found him with several wounds to his face and forearms.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Police Corporate Communications Unit said five children, ages 11 to 17 were taken into custody.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
