by March 14th, 2018

Miley Cyrus needs to stop making money off “We Can’t Stop” says dancehall artist Flourgon who is suing the American singer and Sony.

In a lawsuit, Flourgon says Miley’s 2013 “We Can’t Stop” borrows heavily from his 1988 tune, “We Run Things.”

According to TMZ, in the documents filed, Flourgon isn’t accusing Miley of stealing his music or line. However, he says she jacked his “unique and creative lyrical phraseology in order to establish an overarching and pervasive theme … in the realm of self-discovery and self-governings.”

Flourgon is suing Miley Cyrus and Sony to block further distribution, sales, and performances of “We Can’t Stop.” He is also seeking monetary compensation.
