Former Petrojam General Manager charged by MOCA

Former General Manager of Petrojam,  Floyd Grindley was charged with eight counts of aiding and abetting obtaining money by means of false pretense today.

He was charged by detectives from the Major Organised Crime & Anti-Corruption Agency, MOCA.

Allegations are that between December 2016 and May 2018; Mr. Grindley aided and abetted former chairman of Petrojam, Dr. Perceval Bahado-Singh and the process he used to fraudulently claim several reimbursements amounting to seventy-three thousand six hundred and twenty US dollars.

The former chairman was charged last Monday with twelve counts of obtaining money by means of false pretense.

MOCA says over the period it conducted a thorough multijurisdictional investigation into these allegations, prepared and submitted a file to the Director of Public Prosecution, who ruled that criminal charges be filed.

Mr. Grindley was interviewed in the presence of his attorney and charged.  He was later offered bail and is to appear in court on Wednesday.
