Former PNP Chairman Phillip Paulwell says the party will not be a viable opposition, if it does not fix its unity issues

Former Chairman of the People’s National Party, PNP, Phillip Paulwell, says the party will not be able to serve well, if it does not remedy the lack of unity.

Yesterday (July 16), Mr. Paulwell, and the party’s Vice Presidents, Damion Crawford, Wykeham Mcneil and Mikael Phillips, resigned their positions, with immediate effect.

President of the Party‘s Youth Organization, PNPYO Krystal Tomlinson, also resigned.

Speaking during a live video on his Facebook page yesterday, Mr. Paulwell said he is saddened that this had to be the outcome.

He noted that the party’s unity issue, which he said dates back to about 2017, has affected the PNP significantly.

And Mr. Paulwell says unity must be achieved, if the PNP plans to be successful in the upcoming local government elections.

And Mr. Paulwell says despite his resignation as Chairman of the Peoples National Party, he will not be leaving the party.

The Former Chairman says he and his colleagues, will continue to work in the best interest of the PNP.

Vice Presidents, Damion Crawford, Wykeham Mcneil and Mikael Phillips, had also resigned their positions, yesterday.
