Former Rivoli United striker Corey Burke powered his way into the history books on the weekend when he became the leading all-time scorer at Philadelphia USL team Bethlehem Steel.
Burke achieved the feat when Bethlehem steel facing the top club in the united soccer league’s eastern conference Louisville City FC fought to a 2-2 draw
With the game’s opening tally in the 20th minute, Burke became the club’s all-time leading scorer when he smashed home his 10th career goal at Louisville.
His goal added to his impressive play of late, with the 25-year-old being unstoppable since returning from the Concacaf Gold Cup.
After helping the reggae Boyz to the final, Burke has scored four goals and added two assists since returning from the tournament.
Burke’s goal broke a tie with teammate Seku Conneh and added another chapter to his growing list of club records.
Burke already is the club’s all-time leader in points 24 shots taken 86.
