National record holder Frederick Dacres produced another podium finish today.
Three days after his world leading 69.67 metres at the Stockholm diamond league meeting Dacres took second spot at the IAAF World Challenge meeting in Ostrava with an effort of 65.36 metres.
He finished behind Andriusgudzius of Lithuania who won at 66.30 metres.
the only other Jamaican at the meet Damar Forbes ended at the back of the field in the men’s long jump with his effort of 7.42 metres.
In the meantime Justin Gatlin produced a season best 10.03 seconds to win the men’s 100 metres, while Kim Collins who was timed at 10.41 took the B’ race.
Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands won the Women’s 200 metres in 22.52 seconds.
