From Rema to Russia with love – Boza signs long term contract with Spartak Moscow

Reggae Boy Shamar Nicolson will be playing top flight football in the Russian Premier League.

This as Spartak Moscow announced today that the former Boys Town star will be joining the Moscow club after they agreed with Belgian Pro League team Charleroi on the transfer.

The 24 year old has been displaying great form recently with Charleroi where he already has scored thirteen goals, including a hat-trick this weekend against Eupen the club of another Jamaican international Tyreek Mcgee..

Nicolson who will leave Charleroi in 6th place in the Belgian League is set to add firepower upfront to the Spartak team who are lying currently in 9th place in the Russian Premier League.

Nicholson was developed in the Boys’ Town FC youth system and made the transition to the first team in 2015–16 season.

In 2017 he moved to Slovenia to play for NK Domzale following an impressive spell with the former three time Jamaican champions.

Notching up 20 goals in 56 appearances, Nicholson was spotted by Charleroi, who bought him in 2019 on a four-year deal.

Meanwhile coach Andrew Price who was instrumental in the early development of Nicolson at Boys Town, says the sky is the limit for the Trench Town native.

With Charleroi, Nicholson made 83 appearances, scored 31 goals and made 11 assists.

For the Jamaican senior national team, the forward has so far scored 10 times in 29 games.
